We are a care home for Adults with Learning Disabilities and associated conditions.

Our Philosophy

At Redcroft House, we believe adults with learning disabilities have the right to a person-centred service and to be supported in an environment of their choice.

We believe that service users have the right to live as normal a life as possible with minimum disruption so they have the best quality of life.

We strive to create and maintain an environment in which service users will be encouraged and supported to achieve their potential.

Our Mission

We aim to provide the highest quality of care and service to all our service users and help them maintain a physically and mentally stimulating and enjoyable life style whilst they are in our care. We always strive for excellence and have a passion to do the best for our service users.

Purpose of Redcroft House 

Redcroft House is a residential care home providing a service to 11 adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and PMLD. The unit opened in 1990. Redcroft House is situated in the Colinton/Oxgangs area of Edinburgh. It has access to excellent community and transport links to the city centre, and elsewhere.

Redcroft House works within the framework of the organisation’s charter, policies, procedures, and the health and social care standards of practice. The service is registered with the Scottish Care Inspectorate.
